Founder and President of Balochistan Stars
Everyone lives his own life and thinks about himself but some gems think about the prosperity, rights, success, and wellbeing of their society. Such people make this world beautiful to be lived and are the source of smiles on the faces of hundreds of people. Balochistan is not only gifted with resources-minerals but is also home to several homo sapiens who advocate for the rights of their people and become the voice of hidden or oppressed voices. Mr. Waqas Mengal is also one of them.
Mr. Waqas Mengal opened his eyes on 6th October in 1994 in the provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta. Waqas Baloch got his early education and owns MS in IT degree from Quetta. Mr. Baloch is an executive member of different youth-related organizations and has volunteered in social projects with Youth Forum for Kashmir (YFK) Balochistan, Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), PEAS, SardarBahadur Khan University, University Law College, University of Balochistan, and Youth Affairs Department Government of Balochistan.
As growing up in the beautiful city of Quetta Mr. Waqas developed a desire to work for society, especially the young ones. He made his mind to utilize and channelize his academic I.T qualification and skills to serve the people of Balochistan, hence, founded a website and launched the mega project with the name of “Balochistan Stars”. He had published numerous articles and conducted more than 1,000 interviews of real heroes, who worked for the betterment of society. He started advocating for youth and helped them via different channels. He is presenting and highlighting the positive image of Balochistan in many media channels since 2016.
Mr. Waqas Mengal has been a motivational and guest speaker in various educational institutions, social gatherings, cultural events, and public awareness campaigns.
Mr. Waqas Mengal being the President of Balochistan Stars has signed MOUs with different Universities, between Balochistan Stars and SardarBahadur Khan WomenUniversity, University of Law Collage Quetta, and some are in pipeline, to highlight their talented students and give them a proper platform for Internships, sessions, conferences and Lectures on Entrepreneurship, Job opportunities, and competitive exams by renowned personalities. Mr. Waqas Mengal also provides his services volunteer in tree plantation, organizing events for youth, women empowerment, organizing cultural events to unite diversity, and promote peace by organizing hiking trips to mark a clean environment.
Coming to his vision, Mr. Waqas is working on a huge project of exploring Balochistan with a view to highlighting the hidden beauty of Balochistan. He also aims at reviving tourism, attract national and international tourists. Mr. Waqas Mengal is honored to PublishBalochistan’s first-ever Magazine of the top 30 personalities of Balochistan with its mega launching ceremony, and also has an honor for being a Pioneer of Biggest Award Show of the Province Balochistan Stars Awards in 2019 and also in 2020, with thousands of people from different sectors.
In recognition of his utmost efforts and even spending his pocket money, killing his own desires for the service of others, he has been awarded numerous awards such as; SATHA innovation and many more for his service and struggle for the betterment of Balochistan. The province needs some more energetic minds like MrWaqas Mengal for coming on the front in competition with the rest of the country.
