Every great movement starts with an intense, unyielding passion. In a region where traditional sports often overshadow unconventional disciplines, breaking the mold requires extraordinary courage. Talib Hussain, famously known as Sahil Parkour, stands out as a pioneering figure who introduced the art and sport of Parkour to Quetta and the wider landscapes of Balochistan. As the General Secretary of both the Pakistan Parkour Federation and the Balochistan Parkour Association, Talib’s journey is a testament to how raw enthusiasm, when channeled through structured leadership, can transform into a national movement.
Like many pioneers of modern extreme sports, Talib’s journey began not in high-tech training academies, but on the streets and through digital inspiration. Watching global parkour videos online sparked an intense curiosity and love for the discipline. However, turning that curiosity into reality was no easy feat. In the early days, practicing parkour meant facing skepticism from families and society due to the high risk of injuries.
“The game is inherently dangerous, and the risk of injuries is high. Because of this, our families initially resisted or worried, but our deep passion for the sport kept us pushing forward through every hidden bruise and scraped knee.” — Talib Hussain
Rather than letting societal hesitation deter him, Talib and his peers persisted, transforming their individual love for the craft into an organized collective effort.
Recognizing that unstructured street stunts had a limited scope, Talib envisioned a professional framework that would safeguard athletes and provide them with legitimate platforms. This vision materialized with the establishment of the Pakistan Parkour Federation and the Balochistan Parkour Association. Under his administrative leadership, the federation took landmark steps:

Today, the Balochistan Parkour Association serves as a premier nurturing ground for youth interested in the discipline. Having professionally trained over 200 young athletes and currently managing a dedicated batch of more than 100 active students, Talib and his team have created a safe, structured environment for aspiring practitioners. The mission goes beyond acrobatics; it aims to build discipline, physical fitness, and mental resilience among the youth of Balochistan.
Despite remarkable milestones achieved through self-reliance and relentless struggle, institutional hurdles remain. Talib points out that athletes in Balochistan operate largely without corporate backing or dedicated government sponsorship. In his official appeal, he urges administrative authorities to step forward, invest in youth sports infrastructure, establish dedicated parkour academies, and recognize extreme sports as a legitimate avenue for regional empowerment.
Looking ahead, Talib Hussain remains steadfast in his mission. With international delegations arriving and national frameworks expanding, his journey proves that with resilience, vision, and hard work, the youth of Balochistan can leap over any obstacle—literally and figuratively.
