Service Above Self: From Qila Saifullah to Global Excellence

Dr. Ramsha’s commitment to service took her to the frontlines. Her first posting at the DHQ in Qila Saifullah—a highly underserved area—challenged her, as she worked in emergency and trauma centers, providing essential care where it was needed most.

Her academic journey soon took her beyond borders. After completing her Master’s in Dental Medical Sciences from the University of Birmingham, UK, she returned to Pakistan with a renewed sense of purpose. Today, she is pursuing a PhD at the Aga Khan University (AKU) in Karachi.

A Historic Milestone: Regenerative Dentistry

Perhaps the most exciting chapter of her career is her work at the Center for Regenerative Medicine at AKU. As the first dentist from Balochistan to be enrolled in this high-level project, Dr. Ramsha is at the forefront of pioneering pre-clinical trial studies in regenerative dentistry. Her research focuses on a revolutionary concept: using stem cells to regenerate a patient’s own tooth structure. This is not just a medical procedure; it is a breakthrough that could fundamentally change dental healthcare in Pakistan.
