In the administrative landscape of Balochistan, a new wave of dynamic civil servants is reshaping governance and inspiring young professionals across the province. Leading this transition is Sana Mahjabeen Umrani, Assistant Commissioner of Dasht (District Mastung), who stands out as one of the youngest women to qualify for the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) executive cadre in Quetta.
Originally hailing from Jaffarabad, Sana relocated to Quetta early in life alongside her family to pursue high-quality education. She completed her Master’s degree in Pakistan Studies at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta, consistently securing top academic ranks throughout her school, college, and university years.
Beyond academic excellence, she actively participated in extracurricular domains—frequently securing top honors in co-curricular competitions, debates, and public speaking forums.
Guided by her family’s encouragement to pursue administrative service, Sana approached her career with focused determination. In an extraordinary achievement, she appeared for the competitive PCS examination while still in the second semester of her Master’s program—qualifying on her very first attempt and assuming office shortly after completing her degree.

Serving in executive administration, Assistant Commissioner Umrani emphasizes operational efficiency, daily task completion, and systematic case management to prevent administrative backlogs.
Her appointment also marks a significant milestone for female representation in the provincial bureaucracy:
Alongside her official responsibilities, Sana remains deeply committed to public welfare and civic engagement. She regularly participates in regional environmental and cleanliness drives and collaborates with local educational academies to conduct mentoring sessions for aspiring competitive exam candidates.
An avid reader with a passion for literature, poetry, and music, she credits her success to personal discipline, faith, and the steady encouragement of her family and mentors.
In her advice to the upcoming generation of young leaders, Sana outlines three core principles for meaningful success: relentless hard work, strong faith, and sincere intentions.
