Prominent among these exceptional individuals is Qari Muhammad Ibrahim Kasi, a globally acclaimed reciter of the Holy Qur’an whose masterful command of Tajweed and mesmerizing vocal resonance have brought immense pride to Pakistan and Balochistan.

Roots and Early Foundation

Born and raised in Quetta, Qari Ibrahim Kasi was immersed in an environment centered around faith, learning, and Qur’anic scholarship from an early age. His initial steps into Qur’anic recitation began at home under the direct guidance of his elder brother, Qari Sheikh Muhammad Wahid.

Alongside his religious discipline, he maintained a strong commitment to mainstream academic education:

  • Schooling: Completed his matriculation from the historic Islamia High School, Quetta.
  • Higher Education: Earned an ICS (Computer Science) diploma from Degree College Quetta, later graduating with a degree in Political Science and Sociology.
  • Specialized Qur’anic Studies: Formalized his expertise in Hifz and Tajweed through rigorous training at Madrasa Tajweed-ul-Qur’an.

A Rapid Rise: From Local Contests to Global Arena

Qari Ibrahim’s public journey began early. By the fourth grade, he was already taking part in local recitation contests and made his national television debut on Pakistan Television’s (PTV) program Sawal Yeh Hai.

  • 2015 Landmark Milestone: Representing Pakistan at the World Qur’an Recitation Competition, he secured 3rd position globally.
  • Achieved top honors and 1st place titles in major international reciter competitions hosted in Turkey and Iran.

Having reached the peak of competitive recitation, Qari Ibrahim transitioned into serving as an International Jury Member, judging prestigious global competitions across Tanzania, Turkey, Morocco, and Bangladesh.

His international recognition extends to royal and state honors:

  • The Royal Palace of Morocco: After discovering his recitations online, King Mohammed VI of Morocco extended an official royal invitation. Qari Ibrahim now recites annually at the Royal Palace during the holy month of Ramadan.
  • State Guests in Turkey: The Government of Turkey and provincial governors have repeatedly hosted him for official Ramadan recitations and spiritual events.

Under his direct mentorship:

  • Dozens of local students from Balochistan have secured top ranks in national and international competitions.
