Humble Beginnings and Early Passion

Hailing from the Kalat district, Naseeb’s connection with art started long before he ever stepped foot into formal academic halls. Growing up, his canvas wasn’t paper or fine linen—it was the massive walls of government schools, local streets, and football grounds. Long before completing his matriculation, Naseeb was already working at a local shop making signboards. Whenever national events like 14th August or local celebrations approached, he could be found painting vibrant murals across the town. For him, painting portraits with charcoal or decorating walls was never just a pastime; it was a profound source of inner peace.

“Whenever Independence Day or similar events arrived, I would paint large walls of schools and football grounds… That creative expression gave me a unique sense of inner peace.”

Overcoming Financial Hurdles at BUITEMS

The path to higher education was paved with severe financial constraints. When Naseeb secured admission into the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program at BUITEMS University, his family supported him as much as they could, but the daily commute and semester expenses heavily burdened his shoulders. There were moments when he had barely enough to manage routine travel and academic expenditures.

However, turning points favor the relentless. Within just ten days of joining the university, an inter-departmental art competition took place. Naseeb secured the top position in the competition. Recognizing his exceptional talent, the university administration—particularly noting his brilliant academic performance and dedication—stepped forward to grant him a full scholarship. This crucial support lifted the financial weight off his shoulders, allowing him to complete his studies, earn top honors across Pakistan, and eventually transition into the role of a university lecturer.

Capturing the Untamed Beauty of Balochistan

Today, as an educator, Naseeb bridges the gap between academic mentorship and professional practice. Beyond teaching, his ultimate artistic ambition is to showcase the true, unmasked beauty and cultural heritage of Balochistan to the global stage. Through his specialized works in calligraphy and cultural preservation, his art has transcended national borders, finding display spaces in Dubai, America, and Australia.

Naseeb passionately challenges the stereotypical narratives often associated with his homeland. While outsiders sometimes perceive Balochistan as barren or monotone, Naseeb sees a vibrant tapestry of colors. He notes how the landscape transforms dramatically between the stark winter mountains and the lush, blooming tones of summer, urging everyone to witness the diverse spectrum of colors native to the region.

A Message for the Youth: Building Your Own Path

Addressing aspiring artists and the youth of Balochistan, Naseeb offers grounded, valuable advice. In a world where many chase quick validation or conventional paths without genuine interest, he emphasizes that true success requires deep devotion.

“The scope is something an individual builds for themselves; no department or degree hands it to you on a platter unless you possess that inner spark and passion.”

He also appeals directly to government bodies and policymakers to establish dedicated art galleries and creative hubs in Balochistan. Because formal spaces to display and appreciate fine art are currently minimal in the region, many talented young minds from remote areas risk discouragement. By creating proper platforms and institutional support, Balochistan can truly unlock the boundless potential of its youth.
