Emerging from the culturally vibrant town of Kuchlak, Balochistan, Naseeb Khan stands as one of the region’s most versatile contemporary artists, translating the heritage and social realities of his homeland into globally recognized masterpieces.

Humble Beginnings: From Commercial Signboards to Fine Art

Born into a supportive family as the eldest son, Naseeb completed his early schooling and F.Sc in Kuchlak before moving to Quetta to pursue higher education. His artistic journey did not begin in elite studios, but on the streets as a commercial signboard painter. Driven by a childhood passion to master the craft, he took his first formal step in 2008 by enrolling at the Idara-e-Saqafat (Cultural Institute).

Recognizing his raw talent, he subsequently gained admission to the Fine Arts program at BUITEMS University. Under the mentorship of Mr. Kaleem Ullah, Head of the Department, Naseeb transformed his passion into a disciplined, professional career. Reflecting on those formative years of struggle, Naseeb candidly shares:

“I started from zero. Whatever I have achieved today is entirely due to the sacrifices of my parents, the support of my family, and the guidance of my teachers.”

• Institutional Awards: Recipient of the Best Artist Award at BUITEMS, along with formal honors from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Army.

Grounded in humility, Naseeb finds personal inspiration in the life and legacy of the renowned humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi. Beyond his own studio practice, his primary ambition is to mentor, uplift, and create platforms for the emerging, unseen artistic talent of Balochistan.
