The Undefeated Pioneer: How Shakira Ali Mastered Taekwondo and Empowered Balochistan’s Youth

By: Ahmed Jahangeer Khan

Taekwondo—a world-renowned Korean martial art celebrated for its high-impact spinning kicks, speed, and agility—traces its roots back to the 1940s and 1950s, blending traditions like Karate, Taekkyeon, and Subak. Today, Balochistan Stars takes great pride in introducing an exceptional powerhouse from Quetta, Balochistan, who has truly mastered this rigorous discipline: Miss Shakira Ali.

A dedicated athlete and compassionate trainer, Shakira has poured her heart into developing young talent, using sports as a medium for peace, discipline, and community growth.

Academically accomplished, Shakira holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the University of Balochistan. But alongside her academic journey, she built a legendary presence in the arena—remaining an unbeatable and undefeated National Taekwondo Gold Medalist since 2007.

Her journey began at the age of 14, driven by a childhood dream to become a world-class fighter. Over 11 years into her career, she credits her early coach, Muhammad Shah Hazara, for laying a solid foundation for her success. Behind her strength is also the unwavering support of her family—her parents, brothers, and sisters—who stood by her through every challenge.

Today, Shakira serves as the Chief Instructor at Hazara Tiger’s Taekwondo Academy. For her, coaching is far more than a job. Considering her female athletes as family, she trains young girls in her academy completely free of charge to ensure financial constraints never stop a passionate athlete.

A Legacy of Victory: Over 20 Fights, Zero Defeats

Throughout her career, Shakira has stepped into the ring over 20 times and emerged victorious every single time. Her gold-medal record spans major provincial, inter-varsity, and national platforms:

  • All-Balochistan Taekwondo Championship (Quetta, 2007): Gold Medalist
  • 6th Korean National Ranking Championship (Islamabad, 2008): Gold Medalist
