Born on January 1, 1989, in Noshki, Waseem displayed an innate, magnetic connection to music from an early age. Encouraged by a supportive family that nurtured his creative inclinations, his earliest performances began in school corridors, where he rendered soul-stirring Naats, Hamds, and patriotic anthems.

As he matured, balancing his academic pursuits—eventually graduating from the University of Balochistan—his devotion to vocal performance only intensified. What began as school recitals evolved into casual gatherings with friends, informal concerts, and community celebrations.

A pivotal chapter in his artistic evolution arrived when he came under the guidance of Ustad Allam Masroor, the legendary Brahvi singer. Under Masroor’s seasoned mentorship, Waseem refined his technique, learned the intricacies of vocal control, and transformed his raw passion into disciplined artistry.

The Breakthrough: Stepping into the Spotlight

Quietly honing his craft out of the public eye for years, Waseem made his official entry into the music industry in 2008 with his debut Brahvi album. The release resonated deeply with audiences, becoming an instant regional hit and establishing him as one of the most promising young voices of his generation.

However, his definitive moment on the national stage came nearly a decade later.

In 2017, the Culture and Tourism Department of the Government of Balochistan announced the Balochistan Talent Hunt Competition—a high-stakes platform designed to showcase the province’s finest artistic talents. Encouraged by close friends and driven by conviction, Waseem arrived in the audition halls just two days before the registration deadline.

From his very first note, he captivated the judging panel. Effortlessly navigating each grueling elimination round, Waseem earned a coveted spot among the top three finalists representing the entire province.

A Crowned Triumph in Quetta

On the grand finale, surrounded by esteemed judges, media crews, and an expectant audience, the competition reached a fever pitch. Faced with formidable talent from across the region, Waseem delivered a powerful, flawless performance characterized by vocal clarity and emotional depth.

When the final results were announced, Waseem Alam stood victorious as the champion of the Balochistan Talent Hunt.

In recognition of his triumph, he was awarded a prestigious trophy and a cash prize of PKR 100,000, presented by Nawab Mohammad Khan Shahwani, the then-Minister for Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD).

The victory catalyzed a remarkable rise. Over the years, Waseem has graced numerous high-profile broadcasts, including regular feature performances on PTV Bolan and state-sponsored cultural showcases. His artistic contributions and social impact have earned him widespread recognition, including:
