The story is about the life of a person who has great passion and aims to serve his community and especially to promote quality education among the youth. The personality belongs to a far-flung area of Balochistan Niganda, a place located in the Pishin district of Balochistan. This aspiring personality is none other than Prof. Dr. Faisal Ahmed Khan PRO Vice-Chancellor of BUITEMS.
Coming to his educational career, he attained his early education from Quetta and then went to Karachi for higher education. He did his BS and MS from the Bahria University of Karachi. After his Graduation Mr. Faisal joined BUITEMS in 2007, meanwhile, he also availed a Full bright Scholarship and went to America for further studies at Georgia Tech where he did his MS and Ph.D. Mr. Faisal came back from America after completing his studies with the aim to serve his community and he was also interested in starting a consulting firm or developing a Software Company.
Mr. Faisal didn’t think of joining the teaching profession, but when he met Asif Changezi in BUITEMS his mind totally changed and he was convinced to start teaching at BUITEMS. At the time when he joined BUITEMS, the university was in the initial stages, and once he was indulged in promoting the university and the education system he never thought of leaving the profession.
Mr. Faisal had a strong belief that being a citizen of the state and acquiring a good education one should serve his country and the place where he lives. He is trying hard to make sure in providing quality education to the youth of Balochistan and giving them equal opportunities.
Apart from this our personality is also honored as a well Social Activist; he also had started a campaign “Quetta Going Green” to keep his city clean and green. He had played an important role in organizing the “Quetta Literary Festival” for the first time in Quetta. He also started “Honesty Mart” to build trust in the society initially started it from BUITEMS and then thinking to spread this to the city side as well. He also played his role in the counseling of students at BUITEMS. He arranged different workshops and seminars regarding career counseling.
Instead of all his designations, he has the honor of being the finest Motivational Speaker at BUITEMS. Mr. Faisal has presented his country at different international conferences in countries like; US, UK, Malaysia, France, China, Canada, and Italy. Mr. Faisal achieved many awards; he is selected as a senior member of IEEE (Institute of electric and electronic engineer) the United States of America, Member: National Technology Council, IEEE Karachi Sector Leadership Distinction Award:2015, Best Teacher Award: BUITEMS.
Apart from this he also writes articles and his articles are twice published in Dawn Newspaper. He also writes Poems and one of his poems was published in Oxford University Press. Mr. Faisal’s hobbies include Reading Books and Gardening. Last but not least his message to the youth is that “Dream big everything is accessible you just have to stay focused and achieve it”.
